Meet The Characters by Misty Simon!

I have been invited by my great friend Barrie Summy to play along with meet the characters! She posted last week at so go check her out!

1.) What is the name of your character?

Tallulah Graver – goes by Tallie

2.) Is he/she fictional or a historic person?

 Fiction all the way!

3.) When and where is the story set?

In my current hometown at the local Funeral Parlor!

4.) What should we know about him/her?

She does what she has to and is about to get embroiled in something that might just be a little bit over her head.

5.) What is the main conflict? What messes up his/her life?

That would be a series of murders in the area that appear to be aimed with her as the next victim.

6.) What is the personal goal of the character?

Staying alive would be good. Oh and finding all the money her rat husband bilked on paying the taxes with.

7.) Is there a working title for this novel, and can we read more about it?

Cremains of the Day – still a work in progress but hopefully on its way to agents and publishers next month

8.) When can we expect the book to be published or when was it published?

LOL, see above!

Now make sure you look out for the two wonderful authors who are keeping this rolling from my post –

Sara Walter Elwood at

Sara Walter Ellwood is an award winning author whose novel Gambling On A Secret was named by bestselling author Carolyn Brown in the Happy Ever After Blog on USA Today as one of her favorite romances of 2012. Although Sara has long ago left the farm for the glamour of the big town, she draws on her experiences growing up on a small hobby farm in West Central Pennsylvania to write her stories. She’s been married to her college sweetheart for nearly 20 years, and they have two teenagers and one very spoiled rescue cat named Penny. She longs to visit the places she writes about and jokes she’s a cowgirl at heart stuck in Pennsylvania suburbia.

And the lovely Vicky Burkho0lder, co-writer of this site

Vicky Burkholder’s career includes work as a technical writer/editor, a stringer for a local newspaper, and an editor and copy editor for several e-publishers. At various times in her life, she has been a teacher, a secretary, a short-order cook, a computer specialist, a DJ, and a librarian. She’s married to the most supportive guy in the universe and, with him, raised four great kids. She currently has novels and novellas under both her name, and her alter-ego, Victoria Allen, published with Ellora’s Cave, and Draumr Publishing. You can view her website at: or
